As a smart baby monitor, the connection quality of CuboAi Plus plays an important role in features such as live streaming, 18-hour playback, and AI detection.
To help parents easily assess the network environment quality and related information of CuboAi Plus (such as the current network name, whether it is connected to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi network, etc.), we have designed a network diagnostic page in the CuboAi App for parents to refer to.
Path to view: Go to the CuboAi App "Settings" → Click on the camera tab you want to check → Click on "Wi-Fi Settings" to see the current connection information of Cubo.
🐦Reminder: You can only see connection quality and related information when CuboAi Plus is properly connected to the network.
Information available on the network diagnostic page:
- Connection Quality:To maintain the stability of CuboAi Plus connection and functions, it is recommended to keep the connection quality above 80, the higher the better.
- Network Name:Current network name of the connection.
- Connect to Other Wi-Fi:After clicking, enter new Wi-Fi information to change the network of CuboAi Plus connection.
- Connection History:View the connection history of the main account and shared family members within the past 24 hours, listed from newest to oldest.
- IP Address:Identifies the network connection, can identify network devices globally, and will continuously change based on location.
- Channel Number:Current channel of the connection (parents can determine the stability of different channels based on connection quality, please refer to this article)
- Frequency:Frequency 24XX indicates current connection to 2.4GHz network; Frequency 5XXX indicates current connection to 5GHz network.
- Strength:Current connection strength, the higher the better (strength is a negative value, so a network strength of -50 is better than -70).
- Noise:Current network environment noise, the lower the better (noise is a negative value, so network noise of -80 is less than -60).
- MAC Address:Consists of 12 characters, identifies hardware, does not change with address, only used in local networks.
🐦Reminder:The connection quality of the network is mainly calculated by "strength" and "noise". If the network strength is good but the noise is high, it may still result in poor connection quality (for example: a network with strength -50 and noise -60 may have worse connection quality than a network with strength -70 and noise -90), and so on.
