1. When the Baby monitor is powered on and the "Covered-Face & Rollover Detection" is activated from the app, the AI detection function will start; after the baby is placed in the crib, CuboAi will send the first push notification within 90 seconds to let parents know if CuboAi "detects the baby" or if the "baby's mouth and nose are covered"
2. The Baby monitor will judge based on the baby's movements, postures, and facial expressions on the bed, and will send a notification once it detects the possibility of rolling over or the baby's mouth and nose being covered. The time it takes for the phone to receive the notification may vary depending on the network speed and stability.
3. In non-dangerous situations, the Baby Monitor will continue to periodically check the baby's crib status to ensure the baby's sleep safety.
4. The Baby monitor will also detect whether the baby is on the bed.
The stand (floor stand, crib attachment or wall mount) is required to utilize the Covered Face and Rollover Alerts function. CuboAi is most effective when it is placed directly above the crib with the baby monitor looking directly down at Baby, and your crib filling the full screen. This view angle is required to correctly determine Baby’s posture. If the baby monitor is not set up in this recommended position, it may cause the baby monitor’s AI to misjudge the events occurring and may result in inaccurate detection.

How to set up Covered-Face & Rollover Detection
Step 1: Go to the CuboAi App settings page
Step 2: Select the camera you want to adjust settings for from the top tabs
Step 3: Choose "Covered-Face & Rollover Detection"
Step 4: Click to allow notifications and choose "Covered Face & Rollover Alert" or "Covered Face Alerts only"
🐦Reminder:
- As the baby grows, if parents no longer wish to receive notifications for "rolling over or sleeping on the stomach," but still want to receive notifications for "covering mouth and nose while sleeping on the back/side," they can enable the "detect mouth and nose covering only" option.
- When the baby grows older, the risk of foreign objects covering the mouth and nose or suffocation due to rolling over in bed decreases. Parents can also individually turn off this detection function!

How to set up Crib Detection Zone
Step 1: Go to the CuboAi App settings page
Step 2: Select the camera you want to adjust settings for from the top tabs
Step 3: Click on setting the bed detection area range
Step 4: After selecting, click on the top right corner "Save" to finish
After setting up CuboAi, if you find that the camera covers a larger area, parents can set the detection area range to allow CuboAi's AI to detect within the selected range, ensuring the baby's safety, and also avoiding actions by parents near the baby's bed or items outside the bed that may affect the accuracy of AI detection!
🐦Reminder:
It is recommended that parents set the detection range to cover the entire baby bed during setup. Additionally, the detection range does not equal the camera's filming range, so when logging into the app to view, you can still see the complete wide-angle view
*Correct setup of Crib Detection Zone: Detection zone covering the entire baby bed while avoiding areas where parents pass through and move around.
*Incorrect setup of Crib Detection Zone: The detection zone is too small, which can lead to excessive false alerts.

Baby Detected & Didn't Detect Baby
CuboAi synchronizes to detect if the baby is in bed and provides the following notifications:
-Baby Detected
If the baby is being cared for by someone else, parents may want to know the baby's condition. In addition to checking on the baby by logging into CuboAi, CuboAi will also proactively notify parents when the baby returns to bed!
-Baby Not Detected
If CuboAi detects that the baby has left the bed, or is completely covered by an object, it will immediately send out this notification. Please confirm the baby's status as soon as possible
(It can let parents know when the baby leaves the crib, used to record the baby's sleep; on the other hand, if the baby is completely covered and CuboAi cannot detect the baby, it can also remind parents immediately)

- iOS devices: After receiving the push notification, "long press the notification" to display the event screenshot
- Android devices: After receiving the push notification, "drag down" the notification to display the event screenshot
If you want to review dangerous events, they can browse all events within 7 days in the App's "Notification Wall"

Frequently Asked Questions
-What Might Cause Inaccurate Detection?
The following setup methods may affect the normal operation of the AI function or lead to inaccurate detection, so parents must set up according to the "correct detection environment"!
1. Too many items on the bed (such as pillows, stuffed animals, toys.)*
2. Detecting multiple babies at once. If there is more than one baby in the crib, the AI detection will not be able to function properly.
3. "Non-vertical" lens angle
4. If CuboAi is positioned too far or too high from the crib, and if the camera angle is not positioned directly down at the crib.
5. If Baby wears a hat or a swaddle, which makes it hard for the baby monitor to detect your little one's biological features.
6. CuboAi's AI detection will trigger & send alerts at different intervals depending on Baby’s movement. In most cases when Baby’s detected in the crib and with much movement, CuboAi/CuboAi Plus will detect any potential events at high frequency, while in some cases when Baby’s not in the crib or when Baby is in the crib with less movement, it will detect and send alerts at different frequencies relatively.
*Note: the AAP recommends that cribs contain no blankets, pillows, stuffed toys, or bumper pads placed around Baby. Babies can roll into any of these items resulting in an air flow blockage.
-Can I Turn Off Covered-Face & Rollover Detection?
Yes, considering that there is no risk of nose and mouth covering for babies as they grow older, parents can choose to turn off the "Covered-Face & Rollover Detection" function as needed to avoid receiving unnecessary notifications.

Sleep Safety Tips
CuboAi’s co-creator and pediatrician consultant Dr. Kenneth Yeh shares the following tips for new parents to ensure sleep safety for their little ones:
1. An extra bumper pad is not required for the crib railing.
2. Baby should not share the same bed as the parents.
3. Please refrain from having pillows, toys or blankets in the crib.
4. Wearing a one-piece pajama lowers the risk that clothing will cover the face.
5. The mattress should be firm enough to not cause airway obstruction due to mattress sag.
