CuboAi Plus
CuboAi Plus will continuously stream in 1080p Full HD live feed. (Note: There may be some potential delay depending on the Wi-Fi environment and the processor performance of mobile devices.)
As HD provides high-quality video, it demands higher network bandwidth, while SD offers standard quality. Therefore, you can initially switch from HD to SD to reduce network traffic, ensuring smoother video playback.
To do this, go to the homepage of the CuboAi app and click on the menu icon under the camera button → Find the video quality settings, where you'll see the HD/SD toggle switch for high and standard video quality. (Note: The HD/SD setting is only available for the CuboAi Plus.)
CuboAi
CuboAi's live stream resolution depends on the network connection and the performance of mobile devices:
- iOS device
To ensure the best functionality of the CuboAi App, it will automatically stream in 720p while using device models earlier than iPhone 6s to prevent your mobile device from draining battery or live feed delay, etc.
If you're using device models later than the iPhone 6s, the resolution will also be adjusted automatically according to the wireless network you connect to:
- Wi-Fi network: 1080p
- 4G network: 720p
CuboAi Reminder: When an iOS device is connected to a different Wi-Fi network from the baby monitor, there may be some potential delay during the 1080p live feed depending on the Wi-Fi environment. - Android device
Users with an Android device can manually adjust the camera resolution in the CuboAi App by going to Setting → Tap on the connected baby monitor on the top → Camera Settings → Resolution → Select 720p or 1080p.
CuboAi Reminder: Viewing the live feed in 1080p will increase power consumption and lower battery life of your mobile device. To view the live stream without interruptions or delay and to conserve battery life, we suggest switching to the 720p when the network connection is unstable.
When the CuboAi baby monitor is in an environment with uneven lighting (e.g., strong light exposure causing a significant contrast between light and dark areas) or there are objects in the frame that reflect light (e.g., light-colored or reflective materials), the baby monitor adjusts to balance the brightness and darkness of the image. This can affect the quality of the camera's video output.
