CuboAi/CuboAi Plus is a Wi-Fi baby monitor and needs to be connected to your home Wi-Fi network to connect to the Cubo Ai App and the cloud so that parents can fully utilize CuboAi/CuboAi Plus’ features through the App.
- After you download the CuboAi App on your phone, tablet, or other mobile device, you can check on Baby no matter where you are as long as your device is connected to the internet.
- To ensure that you meet the bandwidth requirement for CuboAi/CuboAi Plus, please refer to: CuboAi/CuboAi Plus’ Bandwidth Requirements
Network Restrictions:
- If you have Mesh Wi-Fi at home, please disable Fast Roaming before connecting your device to Wi-Fi.
- CuboAi/CuboAi Plus can only connect to a password-protected network and may not work in places where additional authentication is required to connect to Wi-Fi such as hotels.
🐤 Can I tether from my mobile phone?
If you use your mobile phone hotspot as the primary Wi-Fi connection, it is possible to connect your baby monitor to the App. However, this is NOT recommended since mobile hotspots may not provide a stable network to properly transmit data and utilize the Ai functions. We strongly recommend that parents keep their baby monitor connected to their home Wi-Fi network.
🐤 What Wi-Fi security types does CuboAi/CuboAi Plus support?
CuboAi / CuboAi Plus currently only supports Wi-Fi routers with WPA series encryption methods (WPA, WPA2).
Due on security, compatibility and performance considerations, we strongly do not recommend using WEP, WPA-TKIP and other encryption methods with lower security levels. Please use WPA2 and AES encryption methods to improve the security of the connection.
Note: As WEP and WPA-TKIP encryption methods have been proven to have serious security flaws, the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) has required the Wi-Fi industry to gradually phase out these encryption specifications and methods.
If you use Mesh Wi-Fi at home, please connect CuboAi / CuboAi Plus to your home network with the Fast Roaming function turned off.
